Centered –

Merriam – Webster 3. Emotionally Stable and Secure

Being centered in Christ means making Him the focal point and priority in everything we do. It means growing in our faith, developing a deeper relationship with God, and seeking to follow Christ's teachings in all aspects of our life.
Being centered in development means putting Jesus Christ in the center of our careers, goals, and aspirations and making Him our foundation. Colossians 2:6-7 says, "Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." We must be rooted and built up in Christ.
Focusing on Christ and centering our lives around Him helps us to align our priorities with God's will. It provides us with a sense of purpose and direction in life. It also brings peace, joy, and contentment, even in difficult times. In addition, when our lives are centered on Christ, we are able to love others more fully and selflessly.

Professional Calling:

I always grew up at church, my father was a pastor for 18 years. So, I have always been taught that Christ is the answer. It wasn’t until I was 10 years old in 2003 that I understood what it truly meant to let Jesus be the Lord of my life. I spent my teenage years growing up and growing in my faith. After learning more of the calling that He had for me, I surrendered to the ministry in 2011 at the age of 18 years old. As I let my life be centered in Christ, I found myself serving the next 10 years in student ministry in Plain Dealing, LA and Diana, TX. In January of 2020, I felt called to transition from student ministry to pastoral ministry. I have now had the privilege to serve as a pastoral intern under Bro. Charles Hunt from 2020-2021, and started as the 412 College and Young Professionals minister in February of 2021. In August of 2021, I accepted the position to serve as Campus Pastor of Woodland Hills at Mason Creek.

Personal Calling:

I am a cancer survivor. I battled stage 3 cancer in 2014 and have been in remission since the end of 2014. I married my high school sweetheart, Stephanie, on January 6, 2018. She is a true blessing to me. Steph and I have been together half of our life.

My favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 “For we know all things work together for the good of those who love God and those who are called according to His purpose.”.

Professional Calling:

I have been in leadership and management for over a decade and spend the majority of my time developing the next generation of leaders in my organization. I have lead teams in various work sectors from professional sales, retail, distribution, and most recently owning and operating my own businesses. I utilize my broad background, education, life experiences, and strong reasoning skills to make effective decisions and drive results. My truest passion has always been helping others achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential, both personally and professionally.

Personal Calling:

I believe every experience, every mistake, and every triumph is a stepping stone towards who God plans for us to be. Some paths are paved and clear while others are a twisted thicket. I spent a lot of time in the thicket lost and bewildered wandering aimlessly. The glory of God is the guiding light in the darkness. Faith works as a compass. Through HIM I now walk without fear of the dark and sinuous thicket. Together we light the way.

My favorite scripture is Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
